Fouetté turns, or any turns

So many, but my teachers Miss Tara and Miss Keryn always inspire me to reach higher and and higher, and Misty Copeland because she has overcome so many things to be where she is today, and I can’t wait to read her book!
If you could work with any choreographer, who would it be and why?
Travis Wall and Stacey Tookey because I feel like I have a personal connection with their choreography, and Andy Pellick because he pushes me to do different movements and get out of my comfort zone.

Clementines, protein bars

Team or Tennis Court by Lorde for a jazz piece, because I really like her music.

Gabrielle’s Mom: Jennifer Santos
I knew my daughter loved to dance when
she was a baby. She always used to put her hand on her hip and shake. She never wanted to do anything but dance.
My favorite part of the dance year is
Competition season so I can see her and her team perform and be in awe of the things they do and the beauty they create.
My favorite costume she wore was
Cathedrals-Lyrical solo. It was reminiscent of a Greek Goddess, and the costume suited the song perfectly.
If I could choose a song and style of dance for my dancer, it would be A lyrical to Let Her Go (acoustic version) by Passenger, I think she would really connect to the song and lyrics.
My favorite style of dance to watch is contemporary/lyrical. The feelings and expressions she has when dancing and seeing her love doing what she is doing.
When I first became a Dance Mom/Dad, I didn’t know…
how many wonderful and difficult life lessons are learned in dance, and I wouldn’t change it for the world.
My favorite thing about being a Dance Mom/Dad is…
watching my daughter do what she loves, and having special bonding time with her on competition weekends.
My best tip for fellow dance parents is…
stop, take a deep breath, savoir that moment of your child onstage doing what they love. Live in that very moment, appreciate them for all of their hard work and efforts no matter what the outcome.
Aside from being a dance parent, I like to… teach fitness, run, spending time with my husband and all three of my children.
Thank you Jennifer and Gabrielle for sharing your experience with us. One thing is for sure, you girls at the Talent Factory love to dance and love your dance family. Keep sharing your passion.
